Go Green and DIY with your New WishandPrayerTree!

Our unique and hand made Manzanita trees are the newest trend in decor!

Our special occasion trees are on board with the Go Green/DIY trends!  Holidays are a great way to redecorate your purchased tree. Here are some suggestions to Go Green and DIY with our trees!

Go Green and DIY Tree Idea's:

*  Recycle your natural tree's over and over again with different flowers!

*  Put your tree out for a special dinner and change the look of the tree by placing different ornaments on the tree for the occasion.  Examples:  For Easter Brunch, decorate the tree with little wooden eggs.  Having a dinner party in the summer?  Decorate your tree with fireflies or butterflies that sparkle!

*  Themes are a great way to change your tree and recycle!  Halloween decorations are a fun way to decorate your tree at Halloween.  Christmas is a great way to get creative with your tree!

*  Give it to a charity when you no longer have a need for the tree!  Charity event coordinators love to receive unique gifts to raffle off!

As you can see our Go Green and DIY ideas are a wonderful way to bring our your own creativity!

Tree Ideas for Weddings! A Personal Touch!

It goes without saying the everyone wants to give a unique gift for the bride and groom! I have been to many weddings where you can dance with the bride for a donation. Change it up a bit for the bride and groom (but dance with them anyway!).

Weddings are a great way to raise money on a decorated Wish tree for the bride and groom.  Donate a $1.00 to write a wish or congratulations on our hang tags!

Here are some tree idea's that we have come up with.  You can decorate your own tree with silk flowers and change the flowers out by season!

Wish and Prayer Tree Ideas

How did wish and prayer trees get started?

Wish and Prayer Trees

If you are planning your wedding, anniversary party, special fund raising event or special occasion why not purchase or make your own Wish/Prayer or Congratulations tree?   Wish and prayer trees are not new, in fact the idea goes back to the days where folklore and family traditions were plentiful.  Coins were used instead of the hang tags we use today (see picture of the old tradition below).

Today brides/grooms, families and friends make or purchase wish or prayer trees to have their guests write on a card and provide a wedding, anniversary or special occasion wish for the appropriate venue.  These can be kept in a scrapbook, wedding album or as a keepsake from your friends and family or charity attendees.

On Isle Maree in Loch Maree, Gairloch, in the Highlands is an oak wish tree made famous by a visit in 1877 by Queen Victoria, and its inclusion in her published diaries. The tree, and others surrounding it, are festooned with hammered-in coins. It is near the healing well of St. Maree, to which votive offerings were made, including the sacrificing of bulls, which continued up to 18th century, according to records.

Prayer trees can be used for religious holidays, a childs room (hang their prayers on their prayer tree), religious events (weddings, bar mitzvah, baby shower, sick loved ones hospital or hospice room, church events or funerals).
